Questions
- Q: How do I know which group I’m in?
- A: Note when the lights go off and compare with the above schedule.
- Q: Will you keep this up to date?
- A: Maybe
- Q: I hate the way this page prints
- A: Don’t print it (and besides, that’s not a question, it’s a statement).
- Another A: So do we. (Copy and paste the table into a word processor, then print. Works fine with Pages, Word et al)
- Q: Why are some of the “am” cuts in the afternoon
- A: There weren’t enough morning hours to fit them all in.

Welcome Vanuatu!
- 03 04 2011
In November 2010 mSupply went live at Vanuatu’s Central Medical Store and Vila Central Hospital Pharmacy.
Then in March 2011 mSupply was extended to the regional stores and pharmacies at Norsup, Tanna and Santo.
We’ve loved working with the staff in Vanuatu, and are excited to see them learning how to use mSupply to improve services
Rowan K. Butler's yaksnap.net
- 30 12 2010
We don’t usually do web sites, but we did get our arm twisted into helping our friend Rowan to get his photos on line.
His yaksnap.net site has some great piccies of Nepal.
If we do create a web site, we use Textpattern. It’s fantastic. And free.
Welcome Axios Nigeria
- 15 12 2010
In November we installed mSupply at 11 regional medical stores around Nigeria that are managed by Axios foundation.
This installation is unique in that 10 regional sites automatically send their data to the central server, meaning the head office has a way of reporting and managing stock at all locations.
We love Nigeria, and it’s good to remember that most Nigerians are nice people who aren’t trying to scam you!
mSupply 2009- a great year.
- 21 12 2009
The usual company definition of a great year is one in which you sell a lot of stuff, right? Not us. We’re thrilled by the things that have happened, but lots of sales hasn’t been one of them.
We’re pleased that
- We’ve seen our staff work through some difficult issues, and also provide some fantastic client support that was way beyond what they were required to do.
- We’ve successfully transitioned to a new database engine with strong SQL capabilities
- mSupply has gained a lot of important functionality, especially in it’s tender management capabilities.
- We welcomed Tuvalu as a new customer, and the installation and training visit was very well received.
Thanks to everyone who made it all possible.
Custom software development- please don't approach us
- 12 08 2009
In the last year the number of mSupply multi-user licenses in use has increased by 50%, and during that time our Moneyworks customisation services have been used by customers in Canada, USA, Fiji, New Zealand, Australia and Nepal. Our work with mSupply and Moneyworks is now taking all the time have available, so we aren’t able to take on any custom development projects until further notice. We will continue to fully support all projects we have already developed.
Please contact us if you need more information.
Sustainable Solutions' Remote support gets a boost with Teamviewer.
- 26 03 2009
We’ve just spent Euro 1000 on a license for Teamviewer, so we’re a bit poorer, but hopefully our clients will get a richer support experience.
We’re mighty impressed with Teamviewer. It allows you to download a small application (about 1.5Mb- just click that “Remote Support (Win)” link on the right).
You then give us a password, and we can control your screen on an ad hoc basis, helping you as needed. Hope you like it.
(By the way, Teamviewer is very safe – we only get to control your computer for one seesion, and can’t do it again in the future without your permission)…
More info on Teamviewer is available from www.teamviewer.com

New mSupply installations
- 12 01 2009
In 2008 we had 2 exciting mSupply installations
- In Ghana mSupply is being used for the Central Medical Store that supplies all government health commodities for the whole country. The store also handles commodities on behalf of other agencies, and mSupply’s multiple virtual stores capability is being used for this.
- In Kiribati mSupply is being used for national medical distribution, and for running the hospital pharmacy and dispensary.
How Green is this?
- 16 05 2008
There’s lots of companies advertising their resource usage, so we’ll throw our hats in the ring:
- What we do (Sustainable Solutions and Sustainable Networks combined Kathmandu Office)
- 10 staff
- Wireless internet for 40 clients,
- including three gateway machines running Freebsd 24-7 on embedded and full versions including proxy servers and mail servers
- What we use
- Electricity usage per month: 300 Kwh (Cost: USD60 per month for whole office)
- Water usage: about 5000 litres per month
- Heating: all passive. Except for running a gas heater for a hour a week over the winter.
- Cooling: Just 50W fans
- Transport: we have 2 motorcycles for office use. Of our 10 staff:
- 3 walk to work
- 3 use public transport
- 3 use motorcycles
- 1 uses a bicycle.
How are we doing?
We think we can do better in the following areas
- Look at moving some electricity generation to solar
- Try and minimise air travel to client sites out of Nepal
Nigeria's HCP chooses mSupply for 6 states
- 23 11 2007
In 2005 a DFID funded project in Ekiti state of Nigeria installed mSupply software. They were so pleased with the results that in 2007 they decided to install mSupply in six other states as well.
Sustainable Solutions’ staff made a training and installation visit in November 2007.
(And no, it wasn’t a scam, and yes they did pay us ;-) )
